Surf Trip

May 3rd we did our first summer San Onofre surf trip.
We packed up the kids, surfboards, the little BBQ
and spent the day at the beach. We met a lot of our friends there
and had a great day. Our next trip is scheduled on May 31st.
I can't believe (neither can Matt) that I actually dared to
get in the water to go surfing after all those reports of shark
sitings and attacks. I am a little traumatized after watching Jaws
one too many times as a child...but I did it.

Girls Trip

(Megan, Rachel, Brooke, Sarah,
Lacy, Brittany)
In April I had a little girls weekend with my high school friends. We are trying to make it an annual thing. It was so good to see everyone...a few people I haven't see for years. This year we all met up in St. George went out to dinner then headed up to Pine Valley to stay at a friends cabin. We had so much fun looking at old pictures, videos, laughing and plenty of eating. Thanks everyone for making an effort to go and I can't wait until next year. If you want to see more pic's of the trip check out our blog at www.ladiesof95.blogspot.com

Jake's Birthday (2 yrs old)

Jake's birthday was easter weekend so I am a little late posting these. We had a great time. We had a little last minute birthday party at our friends house. They have a bouncy castle so Jake was in heaven. We also did a little easter egg hunt along with a BBQ.

I would love to take credit that I made this cake, but I didn't. My friend Melody Odell did it. Isn't it so cute.

Happy Easter

Today we had a little Easter Egg Hunt for the kids. It was really a lot of fun. As soon as Jake discovered that there was candy in the eggs he could really care less if he found any more. He just wanted to sit down and eat his candy. We even got all the kids to sit still while we took a little photo shoot of all the kids. I am really lucky to have so many good friends with kids around Jake's age. It makes all these activities so much fun. (Notice the blue around Jake's mouth..Robin eggs were a hit)

Cade

I felt like I didn't have many pictures of Caden on my blog. He is getting to such a fun stage. He is babbling alot, rolling over, and giving us tons of smiles. It is nice because Jake is finally starting to interact with him. He will "shove" his binkie in when he is crying, tickle him to make him laugh, and pat is big belly. Yesterday when Caden was crying Jake went up to him pointing his finger to his face and shaking it yelling at him "NO, NO, NO"....I guess maybe we are telling Jake NO a little too much lately.
